Legendary shock rocker Alice Cooper recently joined his touring guitarist Orianthi live onstage for a rendition of Jimi Hendrix’s ‘Foxy Lady.’ Footage can be found below.
Orianthi is currently promoting her latest solo album ‘Heaven In This Hell,’ which was released in March this year. The film clip to the album’s title track was released last month and can also be viewed below.
Orianthi co-wrote ‘Heaven In This Hell’ with Gavin Brown, John Feldmann and Grammy award winner Dave Stewart, who also produced the track. The film clip was directed by Paul Boyd (Deadmau5/Neon Trees) and features Orianthi’s Alice Cooper bandmates Glen Sobel (drums) and Tommy Henriksen (guitar).
In an interview with I Heart Guitar blog, Orianthi spoke about the PRS JA15 guitar she used in the clip. “That’s a new guitar I’ve totally fallen in love with,” she said. “It’s amazing. The pickups, everything about it, it’s just incredible.”
She said as well as looking the part, the JA15 was perfect for her playing style: “I love it! It just sounds so good. And I’m really fussy with guitars. They all have different personalities. Some you really take to, and when you hit a chord or play a melody it’s just right. And this guitar is so great, plugged in or not plugged in.”
