As is often the case when it comes to Guns N’ Roses albums, the talk and speculation surrounding any new works always seems to be a prevalent topic of conversation in the media. Although the head honcho, W. Axl Rose never has any part of the conversation, the other current members of the band often bring up hints about the upcoming albums. Or at least that there is some progress in the writing and recording department.
The longest standing member in the Guns camp besides Mr. Rose, is keyboardist Dizzy Reed. He has weathered the constant lineup changes and we would assume that he is on a good side of Axl Rose. The long time member has revealed some info about the new record and what he thinks will materialize. He spoke to Backstage Axxess about his current solo record, as well as what can be expected from a possible new Guns record.
The keyboardist had this to say, “Last I heard, there’s a lot of music that has been recorded, a lot of stuff that’s done, a lot of stuff that’s almost done, and I think that it’s just a matter of picking out which songs are gonna come out in the next phase.”
It is unclear about the new material being from the ‘Chinese Democracy’ sessions or whether it’s brand new and fresh songs. Time will tell and in this case the record will come out (hopefully0 when the time is right. Check below for the interview with Dizzy.
