Guns N’ Roses Guitarist Appears On ‘Challenge Hulk Hogan’

Guns N’ Roses guitarist Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal recently challenged wrestling legend Hulk Hogan to come up with a song on the spot. Check out what he came up with in the webisode of ‘Challenge Hulk Hogan’ below.

‘Bumblefoot’ isn’t the only musician friend of Hogan’s; in fact, in an interview with The Sun earlier this year, Hogan revealed that his good friend Lars Ulrich once asked him to join Metallica. “I used to be a session musician before I was a wrestler. I played bass. I was big pals with Lars Ulrich, and he asked me if I wanted to play bass with Metallica in their early days, but it didn’t work out.”
However, when speaking with the Chicago Trubune a couple of years back, Hogan recalled a somewhat different version of events. “When Metallica was looking for a bass player, I called and never heard a word back from them either. I would have quit wrestling in a heartbeat to be a bass player for Metallica.”
In the same interview, the aspiring bassist said that he had also attempted to get into the Rolling Stones. “I was in England presenting an award with Jerry Hall, Mick Jagger’s ex, and she told me the [Rolling] Stones were looking for a bass player…I sent her a ton of merchandise that she asked for and said ‘Tell Mick I’m a great bass player.’ I never heard a word back.
