Marc Rizzo Talks New Cavalera Conspiracy

Soulfly and Cavalera Conspiracy guitarist Marc Rizzo has likened the upcoming Cavalera Conspiracy album to Sepultura’s classic, “Chaos AD.”

In a statement posted on his official Facebook page, Rizzo wrote: “NEW CAVALERA CONSPIRACY RECORD IS COMING OUT SICKKKKK!!!!!!!…..REMINDS ME OF CHAOS AD ERA….!!!……REMINDS ME OF EARLY 90’S BREAKDOWNS!!!!…..STUDIO ONE/PIPELINE STOMPS!!!!”

The new, currently untitled album will come as Cavalera Conspiracy third studio album and is scheduled for release in mid-2014.

Meanwhile, Soulfly and Cavalera Conspiracy guitarist/vocalist Max Cavalera will release his long-awaited, “tell all” autobiography, ‘My Bloody Roots’ on April 15.

According to a description posted online Cavalera, who began his career with legendary Sepultura, tells a, “brutally honest story of life in two of the world’s best-known heavy metal bands, Sepultura and Soulfly.”

As well as documenting Cavalera’s musical career, ‘My Bloody Roots’ promises readers insight into his childhood, personal relationships, his struggle with drugs and much more: “…it’s a story of heartbreak and loss and ultimately, triumph,” the description reads. “In it, Cavalera offers an unflinching account of life growing up in hardship in Brazila… and the multi-million-selling success, against all odds, of the band he founded with his brother, Iggor: Sepultura.”

‘My Bloody Roots’ will also give a detailed account of Cavalera’s highly-publicized split with Sepultura: “… for the first time, he reveals the full story behind his split with the band, after which he did not speak to his brother for years.”
