As Alter Bridge prepare for tomorrow night’s grand finale, of their massive European arena tour, at Wembley Arena in London, guitarist Mark Tremonti and bassist Brian Marshall have sat down to talk about how they go about writing an album.
“We write on our own,” Tremonti told Camstas. “And then we get together, when it’s time to put a record together; get out some acoustic guitars, put some ideas together, I’ll throw out my favorite ideas He’ll throw out his favorite ideas, and we’ll complete the songs and get with everybody else.”
Tremonti also gave a quick run-through of his collection of PRS guitars and Morely pedals, as well as his extensive range of amps, “I love amplifiers, so I’ve used every kind.”
Tomorrow nights show at Wembley Arena, will be one of Alter Bridge’s biggest performances to date. And for those of us who aren’t lucky enough to be there, the whole thing will be professionally filmed for release in 2012. Director of the film, Daniel E Catullo III, who has been at the helm of many of Alter Bridge’s releases, including ‘Live From Amsterdam,’ ‘One By One,’ and ‘Isolation,’ has released the following statement: “I am excited to once again direct Alter Bridge, and I couldn’t be more honored to be asked by the guys to once again capture their amazing live show…Wembley is a special place, and I know it has been a dream of the band to play there. I couldn’t think of a better place to shoot this tour at.”
