Nine Inch Nails Guitarist Quits Band

Nine Inch Nails guitarist Adrian Belew has announced he has parted ways with the band.
In a statement published on Facebook, Belew said he was leaving the band due to creative differences and to focus on his solo project, FLUX: “hey folks, before this goes too far let me say this: I greatly respect trent and the music he makes. no one is at fault. we both agreed it just was not working. I’m sorry to disappoint anyone. that really hurts. but NIN will do an amazing show and I am back where I belong: creating FLUX.”
Belew’s statement was later deleted and replaced by the following sentence: “concerning me being part of the 2013 Nine Inch Nails band: it didn’t work.”
Belew’s departure marks the third change to the Nine Inch Nails lineup since last month. On May 15 bassist Eric Avery announced he had left the band and shortly after NIN frontman Trent Reznor revealed that former guitarist Robin Finck had rejoined.
Despite the band’s consistent lineup changes, Nine Inch Nails’ forthcoming album ‘Hesitation Marks’ remains scheduled for release on September 3rd via Columbia Records. The album’s first single, ‘Came Back Haunted’ is out now and can be heard below.
Furthermore, NIN has confirmed it will embark on its ‘Tension 2013’ tour in support of the album in North America this fall.
A post on the official NIN Facebook page read: “Picking up where Lights in the Sky left off, this is the full-on NIN live experience realized as we never could before.
