Primus/Puscifer Drummer Tim ‘Herb’ Alexander Suffers Heart Attack

Primus and Puscifer are asking fans to keep drummer Tim ‘Herb’ Alexander in their thoughts over the next few days after receiving news that he has suffered a heart attack and is in hospital awaiting surgery .

Rumors of the drummer’s condition began spreading on Friday and came to a head the next day, when the following statement was released on Puscifer’s Twitter and Facebook accounts:

Alexander, 49, will undergo open heart surgery tomorrow or Tuesday to remove a blockage of arteries near his heart. He is expected to make a full recovery: “Herb is a strong Herculean fellow, and we all expect him to be up and around in no time,” Primus mainman Les Claypool commented on Facebook. “But with all surgical endeavors we want to make sure he has the best energy working for him.”

PRIMUSClaypool  went on to call for fans to rally around the debilitated drummer: “So let’s all throw our coins in the nearest fountain, wish on the first star of the night, blow out the birthday cake candles with him in mind, pray to whichever deity seems appropriate and generally send good thoughts his way so we can soon experience the glory that is the magnificent percussive rhythm of the mighty Tim Alexander.”
