Schecter Guitar TV’s Artist Spotlight With Conquering Dystopia’s Jeff Loomis and Keith Merrow

Schecter Guitar TV has premiered the second installment of their ‘Artist Spotlight’ video series with Conquering Dystopia guitarists Jeff Loomis and Keith Merrow. The duo discuss the band, performances, their guitars and much more. It can all be seen in the videos below.

Conquering Dystopia is currently preparing for a US tour with Animals As Leaders and Chon. The tour, which will be presented by Ibanez Guitars, Tama Drums, 2 Box Music Applications in association with Guitar World Magazine, begins on May 17 at the 9:30 Club in Washington DC and ends over a month later at the Glass House in Pomona, California.

The band is touring in support of their brand new self-titled debut album, which was released on March 10. It was mixed at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida with Mark Lewis (Arsis, The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, DevilDriver, Deicide, Six Feet Under) and was completely self-funded, thanks to a successful Indiegogo campaign, which to raise $35,000.

Conquering Dystopia is the brainchild of former Nevermore guitarist Jeff Loomis and renowned studio guitarist/producer Keith Merrow. The duo announced the project in 2013, revealing they had recruited Cannibal Corpse bassist Alex Webster and The Faceless drummer Alex Rüdinger to complete the lineup: “We feel that we have a very cool and unique band lineup, which will make for a memorable album for the listener,” the band commented online.
