Survivor Cancel September and October Dates Following Passing of Jimi Jamison

After lead singer Jimi Jamison tragically and suddenly passed away on August 31st, Survivor have understandably cancelled their September and October tour dates.

Dave Bickler – who is an original member of the band – said “We are devastated by this loss, we trust that our fans will understand our wanting to take some time to mourn and remember our brother.”

Tour organisers have said that they’re working with venues to reschedule the cancelled dates. The band are scheduled to pick up the tour again in Hanover, Maryland, on November 13th. An announcement about the new dates will be made in due course.

Fellow original member Frankie Sullivan said “I called him ‘Golden Throat’ and for good reason. He had a voice we will never forget. It was massive and huge and yet sweet and gentle. He was a loving soul and a brother to me in many ways. I will miss him greatly.”
