Rolling Stone’s Top 10 Greatest Guitarists Of All Time

Rolling Stone has recruited an elite group of guitarists, as well as a few of their own senior writers and editors to decide on who the top 100 greatest guitarists of all time are. You can check out the top 10 below.

 

The complete list will be released in a Rolling Stone special addition on Friday. It will be available in four separate covers, each featuring one of four legendary guitarists, either Eddie Van Halen, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix or Jimmy Page.
 
The judging panel included Lenny Kravitz, Eddie Van Halen, Brian May, Dan Auerbach, Billy Corgan, Alex Lifeson, Ritchie Blackmore, Mick Mars, Robbie Robertson, Melissa Etheridge, and Kirk Hammett. You can find out how they put it all together by clicking on the link below.

  1. Stevie Ray Vaughan is the best at play in a guitar by a good bit. What the Rolling stone top is more popularity and not ability. Anyone who watches Vaughan play live a handful of times and it’s pretty obvious that he is the ultimate guitar player. I like metal music more then hjs…But it’s just to obvious to not say that their is something special about him. God gave him something special . You can tell when you just are watching that this is as good as it gets
