Deicide frontman Glen Benton has weighed in on the war of words against Dave Mustaine, following the Megadeth guitarist/vocalists’ recent declaration of support for Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum.
Speaking with Metal Sucks, Benton revealed that he held Mustaine in very low regard. “He’s a prolapsed rectum. One minute you’re in, the next you’re out. Let’s just say prolapsed rectum.”
Benton continued by describing what he would like to see in a President. “The people we have running for president are nothing more than talk shows hosts… I want to see a real person run for president. I want a real person with real person problems running for president. Some rich guy with rich guy problems, they think us schmucks at the bottom don’t mean s**t.”
As well as expressing his political views Mustaine has been in full throttle letting his thoughts be known on highly sensitive issues like gay marriage, birth control and the legitimacy of Presindent Obama’s birth certificate. His comments have also incited an outburst from Gwar frontman Oderus Urungus. “The difference between Oderus and Dave Mustaine is every time [Mustaine] opens his mouth he makes a f—ing idiot out of himself. Keep your f—ing mouth shut Dave Mustaine. Play your f—ing guitar, alright? Maybe keep it to the lyrics to ‘Peace Sells,’” he said in a recent interview with Oklahoma college radio station RSU 91.3.
Urungus also commented on Mustaine’s support for Santorum. “We don’t want to hear about how Obama was born in Africa and how Rick Santorum is your man — he hates f—ing heavy metal! Shut the f— up Dave Mustaine, shut the f— up! You God c—sucking f—ot. F— you! You ain’t s–t Dave Mustaine! You eat Jesus’ dirty s— prick!”
